Steps
- Inspect the repository and checkout identity shown in the header.
- Choose a trusted worktree or review a new worktree destination.
- Open Changes and confirm that the checkout-specific state is the intended one.
Expected result
Reads and previews stay bound to the selected checkout while sharing the repository’s Git common directory.

Recovery
If the workflow cannot continue
Dirty or unfinished worktrees are never removed automatically. Review their changes before cleanup.
