Terms of Service (GitGlow)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GitGlow desktop application and any related websites, downloads, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

In these Terms, "GitGlow", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator identified above.
2. The Service
GitGlow is a desktop analytics tool designed to analyze Git repositories and provide visualizations and insights based on repository activity.
The Service may include features such as:
- Local Git repository analysis
- Contribution visualizations
- Commit-level analytics
- Multi-repository aggregation
- Optional GitHub integration
- Data export features
- Search and insights functionality
The Service may change over time, including the addition, modification, or removal of features.
3. License and Acceptable Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Service for personal or internal business use.
You must not, and must not attempt to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service (except where permitted by law)
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the Service
- Remove or obscure proprietary notices
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable law
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or any related systems
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The repositories you choose to analyze
- Ensuring you have the rights and permissions to access and analyze such repositories
- Your compliance with applicable laws and third-party terms
- Maintaining the confidentiality of any third-party authentication (e.g., GitHub)
5. GitHub Integration (Optional)
If you connect the Service to GitHub, GitGlow may access GitHub data through GitHub’s OAuth authorization system.
- Access is limited to the permissions you approve during authorization
- You may revoke access at any time through your GitHub account settings
GitGlow is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, Inc.
6. Fees and Payments (If Applicable)
Some features may require payment or a subscription ("Paid Features"). If Paid Features are offered:
- Pricing and billing terms will be presented to you before purchase
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers
- Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before renewal (where applicable)
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law
7. Disclaimers
7.1 Service Provided "As Is"
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your requirements.
7.2 Analytics and Insights
GitGlow provides analytics and insights based on Git metadata and other available signals, including heuristics (for example, inferred intent categories).
You acknowledge that:
- Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate
- The Service is provided for informational purposes only
- The Service should not be used as the sole basis for employment, legal, or financial decisions
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GitGlow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.
To the extent GitGlow is found liable, total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or EUR 0 if you have not paid for the Service).
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bulgaria.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
