What this helps you do
Mark an exact commit and optionally publish one annotated tag.
Find it in GitGlow
Use Tags in the repository navigator.
Before you start
Annotated tag creation and pushing one tag are Free; remote publication always requires review.
Steps
- Select the intended commit and choose Create tag.
- Enter the tag name and annotation, then review the target SHA.
- After local creation, choose Push tag and verify the remote destination.
Expected result
The local tag points to the reviewed object; publication affects only the selected tag.
Controls
The controls for this workflow appear in the steps above. Their availability follows the repository, connection, and edition requirements on this page.
Recovery
If the workflow cannot continue
A tag-name collision or changed target invalidates the preview. Inspect current tags and start again.
